Here at AlphaDragonz we strive to offer the highest quality Bearded Dragons on the market. We call this Alpha Quality. Alpha Quality consists of three main components: Quality of Life or Health, Personality, and Color. The first and most important part of Alpha Quality is the attention we pay to the quality of life of our Dragons. We have collected and searched for animals that have full genetic histories available to us. We do this to strengthen our stock and to produce genetically diverse dragons. We believe it is the responsibility of the breeder to search out the genetic background of animals to be bred, well before considering purchasing them or breeding them. We also take all of our dragons for veterinary checkups as well as fecals. Our dragons’ diet is based on the information available at www.beautifuldragons.com. Our hatchlings have the best start in life. They are supplemented with Calcium/D3 daily and a multivitamin once a week. We bathe our hatchings at least three times a week and spray them 3 times a day. We are fortunate at our household to always have somebody home to feed them 5-6 times a day and fulfill any and all of their needs.

The second component of Alpha Quality is personality. We have chosen bearded dragons that have great overall demeanor. We feel that there is a genetic link between the personality of the parents and their offspring. We also feel that it is extremely important for us as breeders to handle all of our dragons on a regular basis especially the more feisty ones. We do this so that you don’t receive an animal that has not been handled or scared. The small size of our family of bearded dragons allows us to offer animals that have been handled on a regular basis. This is not to say that we don’t have any meanies, but it is to say that we work very hard to handle those few meanies so as to make them accustom to humans. So far we have a 100% success rate.

The third component is Color!! We have collected and searched for animals that are the brightest and the best of many top breeders’ collections. Most of our breeders were either our holdbacks or another breeders’ holdbacks. While breeding bearded dragons we have noticed that their color is dependent on many factors. Some of those factors are temperature, environment, time of day, lighting, stress, color of walls of enclosure, happiness and etc. The way for your dragon to reach its full color potential is to follow the guidelines in the Care Sheet. Every dragon produced here has the genetic potential to throw color. Currently, we are working with Hypopastels with Clear Nails, Oranges, Pure Sandfires, Reds, Snows, Translucents, Yellows,Smoothies, Hypotranslucents and many more morphs.
